Winners of “Best Local Band” from Boston Magazine, Three Day Threshold is at the forefront of the Americana, Celtic and country music scenes in New England. Born and bred in NH, their music has taken the band all over the globe; from festivals in the Netherlands to a “Johnny Cash” style gig at a Belgian prison, even a private show for Jim Beam Whiskeys in Clermont, KY, where the band was rewarded with a personal tour of the distillery by none other than the great grandson (and current Master Distiller) of Jim Beam. On their most recent adventure, the band played for U.S. troops stationed overseas in the Middle East and Africa. Glad to be back home, the band is currently working on their 8th album which they are hoping to release this spring/summer.

"Three Day Threshold could be the soundtrack to a shotgun wedding, a tractor pull or an afterhours rockabilly prom, but most of all it's a show not to be missed." - The Weekly Dig

“Boston’s Three Day Threshold has a felicitously original sound. Combining the best of The Rolling Stones, The Pogues, Little Feat and Johnny Cash, Three Day Threshold gets juiced up… 3DT’s songs are energetic and crafted with terrific hooks” – The Boston Herald

Track Name: Narrow it Down
Narrow It Down
Looking for the lady who’s gonna win my heart
She could be anywhere and I don’t know where to start

Narrow a little Bit Down, Narrow a Little Bit Down
The whole wide world is a great big place, I gotta narrow it down

A good woman, take my word, is really hard to find
That is why I take ‘em out on the town one lady at a time

Some question my morals, Say I get around
I ain’t doin’ nuthin wrong, just tryin’ to narrow it down
Track Name: Uni
Uni
Oh Uni, I hear that train a comin'
Oh Uni, Well, I think we better leave
Oh Uni, you're a damn fine woman,
No matter how you slice it, you're all the woman I need

Well, I fell in love with a girl named Uni, Who got cut in half by a train.
She got one leg, one hand, one eye, She's even got half a brain.
And how I love, my little Uni, with a heart that can't hold back,
And the part I loved most of all, is lying on the railroad tracks

Oh Uni, I hear that train a comin'
Oh Uni, Well I think we better leave
Oh Uni, Why you're a damn fine woman,
No matter how you slice it babe, you're all the woman I need

I want Uni to be my bride, gonna get her a diamond ring,
Gonna take her home to meet my parents, But I'm just not sure which half to bring.
Track Name: Chicken Shack (Baby's Got My #)
Chicken Shack (Baby’s Got my #)
Hammer and Spike, Nail and Wood
Thought I did everything I could
Looking back to the Chicken Shack
Thinking that she was gone for good
Morning Sun or Midnight sky
We can talk every day and night
If she comes back to the Chicken Shack
I’m gonna make everything all right.

Baby’s Got my Number
There’s nothing I can do, The things you said were true
And each time you’re in the henhouse, I’ll be passing through
Baby’s Got my Number

The Whale all day, Triple 8 at night
Holds it down to the morning light
The ferry leaves a little too soon
I’m on the phone all afternoon
Before I speak, she reads my mind
And what I need, I left behind
Talking smack at the Chicken Shack
Feels so good, I need her back

Baby’s Got my Number
Track Name: Right Outside the Door
Right Outside the Door
Well I know my baby’s out there, she ain’t listening to me
But I bet I’d give her shivers if she knew this melody was for her
And I tried to say I love her and I tried to make it true
And I tried to give up everything she don’t want me to do for her
And I tried.

But I hate to sing a love song ‘cause I never know the words
But I know how much it hurts
And no matter how it ended the days will still be tough
So just go, try your luck, right outside the door

It’s already been a couple years, we wander on alone
But I’m hoping that my guitar is going to bring my baby home to me
And I try to say I missed her, Babe, I’d drop it all for you.
And I kept her up for hours telling her just what I’d do
Its true and I tried.

But I hate to sing a love song ‘cause I never know the words
But I know how much it hurts
And no matter how it ended the days will still be tough
So just go, try your luck, right outside the door

Well I know my baby’s out there, she ain’t listening to me
But I bet I’d give her shivers if she knew this melody was for her
And I tried to say I love her and I tried to make it true
Now I got to give up everything and try to make it through
And I tried.

But I hate to sing a love song ‘cause I never know the words
But I know how much it hurts
And no matter how it ended the days will still be tough
So just go, try your luck, right outside the door
Right outside the door.
Track Name: Whiskey, You're the Devil
Whiskey, You’re the Devil
Whiskey, you’re the Devil, leading me astray,
O’er hills and mountains into a bloody grave
You’re easy on the soul, and spicy in the tea,
Oh whiskey, you’re my darling drunk or sober

Here’s a man they call Kris Tasker, he’s headed for disaster
A mighty blighty son, if the evenings just begun
Hey father watch your daughter, cause with the pint he offers
He’s still screaming halleluiah

Sweet Ann Clementine, sweet friend of mine
It’s not the glass of wine she’s after
Come now fill my glass, bitch you can kiss my ass
I’m still screaming bloody murder

Here’s a man they call Kris Tasker, he’s headed for disaster
A mighty blighty son, if the evenings just begun
And its touura lourra la, touura lourra la,
Right you are my ladies, there is whiskey in the jar!
Track Name: Kelly, I'm Coming Over
Kelly, I’m Coming Over
Hi, My name is Jimmy McGuirk
I was born and raised in the bay
A working gent, who pays the rent
Loading docks in the Cay
O’Malley and Minihan, Thomas O’Shanahan
Taking a ride into town
Down for a pint, and well I just might
Be partial to sticking around
Oh Kelly,
Kelly, I’m coming over

My favorite dive’s a hole in the wall
Just west of Union Square
Wasn’t the taps or Keno for cash
That always landed me there
Behind the bar, you’d often find
A lass which none could deny
I’d buy a round, and lay the tip down
Hoping to catch her eye

Oh Kelly,
Kelly, I’m coming over

Oh why the hell I fool myself
Thinking she knows my name
She come round, stares me down
I’m left with nothing to say
The riders and rovers, highway patrollers
Always holding me back
Enough of the gambling, I’ll be coming in
Heading in straight for attack

Oh Kelly,
Kelly, I’m coming over
Track Name: Ghost of Jimmy Ryan
The Ghost of Jimmy Ryan
Jimmy’s gonna die today uh huh
Jimmy’s gonna die today uh huh
Jimmy’s been a friend of mine, but last night he just crossed that line
Jimmy’s gonna die today uh huh

The things that can’t be done, been done
The things that can’t be done, been done
Killing is a mortal sin, But God damn, that mandolin
Say Jimmy’s gonna die today uh huh

I’m a bitter, jealous angry man, its true
I’m a bitter, jealous angry man, its true
I lost my grand daddy’s flask, walking down the railroad tracks
I’m a bitter, jealous angry man, its true

Underneath that hangin tree, uh huh
Yeah, Underneath that hangin tree, uh huh
Underneath that tree, there’s just gonna be you and me
Underneath that hangin tree, uh huh

And ask me if I’m sad, well, I ain’t sad
Yes ask me if I’m sad, well, I ain’t sad
My woman left, my money’s gone, you can’t draw water from a stone
And ask me if I’m sad, well, I ain’t sad

God save him now, judge him fair and true
God save him now and judge him fair and true
The devil’s games you never win, but Jimmy a gold mandolin
God save him now and judge him fair and true

Well, Jimmy’s gonna die today uh huh
Jimmy’s gonna die today uh huh
Momma please stop your cryin’, here’s the ghost of Jimmy Ryan
And Jimmy’s gonna die today uh huh.
Track Name: I Must Admit
I Must Admit
I must admit you look good in black
A strapless dress with an open back
“Is it too proper or is it too plain?”
Well, it’s enough to take my breath away

I must admit you look good in green
You’re the finest thing I’ve ever seen
“Is the hem too high, the hem too low?”
Come on darlin’, It’s time to go!

See I don’t care Honey what you’re gonna wear
In all honestly, babe, they all look good to me
I’m gonna take you out tonight
And no matter what you wear, it'll be just right

I must admit you look good in blue
Designer jeans and fancy shoes,
I’ll take you strolling down lover’s lane
But its too late, you disappeared again

And I must admit you look good in red
Got crazy thoughts stuck in my head
Make up your mind, pick out some clothes
Honey babe, its time to go!

See I don’t care Honey what you’re gonna wear
In all honestly, babe, they all look good to me
I’m gonna take you out tonight
And no matter what you wear, Well, it'll be just right!

I must admit you look good in white
I’m lookin’ forward to our wedding night
And on your finger a shiny stone
The only thing I’d ask you keep on

See I don’t care Honey what you’re gonna wear
In all honestly, babe, they all look good to me
I’m gonna take you out tonight
And no matter what you wear, Well, it'll be just right!
Track Name: Thrown Out
Thrown Out
Been thrown out of moving cars, fancy joints and honky-tonk bars
but I never thought I'd be thrown out by you.
Kinda lonesome, but I don't mind, my self-respect I've left behind
and before you go of with him, won't you kiss me good bye

Hopped in the pickup truck, She used to bring me lots of luck
Driving down to your place on Route 115
I’d be late and you’d be mad about the night we could have had
Then I’d put some Hank Williams on and I’d ask you to dance

Been out that door and I been down that road before
And I don't know how to come home to you
It breaks my heart, but I can’t deny
How something so wrong feels so right

We were lying in your old man’s bed, a shot of bourbon fresh in our heads
When I whispered the words “I love you” for the first time
Then I got down on one knee, I asked you “Oh, please marry me”,
You laughed “What kind of fool mister, do you think I am?”

Been out that door and I been down that road before
And I don't know how to come home to you
And It breaks my heart, but I can’t deny
How something so wrong feels so right

Been thrown out of moving cars, fancy joints and honky-tonk bars
but I never thought I'd be thrown out by you.
Track Name: It's Alright
Its Alight
Hit The First Bank of Shreveport, then one in Abileen
The last one in Houston, she got kinda mean
So I headed down to Porterstown, to lay low for a while
But why live like an outlaw, if you can’t live in style?
It’s alright.

The pawnshop by the river looked as easy as they come
So I rolled down my ski mask, I tightly gripped my gun
The moment’s wearing heavy as I plough through the door
Keep your hands where I can see’ em, everybody hit the floor!
It’s alright.

Old Grammy at the counter looked a hundred and three
Said “Empty out that register ma’am, please give it to me.”
The old woman cackled,. Said “Junior learn your lesson,
You don’t mess with a grandma that’s packing Smith and Wesson.”
It’s alright.

It’s time we get it started, well I think you ought to know
Pray for the departed and have mercy on their souls
This towns a’ get smaller, by the minute, by the hour
And my blood is getting thinner and the siren’s getting louder…
It’s alright
Track Name: Gone (Part 1)
Gone (part 1)
The circus freak at the swap meet with nothing to lose,
‘cept a small broken heart and a big pair of shoes
Well last night he left home, he headed into town,
walked a mile and talked a while making his rounds.
If he only knew just what was going, he’d lock his doors and keep his lights on.
Saying “All that I have now is gone.”
I don’t know how you do it, well you keep on and on.
Well, time for the second verse…

Well she was part of the circus scene but now she was his bride
And little did he know how bitter she was inside
See a clown’s pension buys nothing but some plastic rings
And she was looking to move on for bigger, better things
Ain’t it just like a woman to leave you feeling down?
She took all my money and made me leave town.

Well the time it hit the town, it had already spreaded news
Had traveled through the bars, the cars and the zoos.
Even the village idiot with nothing to say,
Hour after hour and day after day,
He saw it coming, he knew it along.
Now all I have is gone.

All that I have now is gone.
All that I have now is gone, all righty boys!
All that I have now is gone.
All that I have now is gone.
Ain’t it just like a woman to leave you feeling down?
I think I said enough.
Track Name: A Toast to My Father
A Toast to My Father
You take a bottle, Fill the glass Drink it down and drink it fast
Slam it down, now up again To my dear father

He’s a stubborn as a mule and rigid as a wall
And when we’d talk, we’d yell and scream if we’d talk at all

He’d start me in the morning, ‘til evening give me hell
And say a job worth doing, is a job worth doing well

Each day I’d learn a lesson, he’d show me how its done
And if he caught me messin’ round, he’d teach me more than one

You take a bottle, Fill the glass, Drink it down and drink it fast
Slam it down, now up again, To my dear father

We’d fight like rabid dogs, rarely seeing eye to eye
But when times were tough and things got rough, he’d be there by me side

He taught me to live honest and taught me to live true
And though we’re both much older now, I still look up to you

So here I call a toast and raise my glass up high
Here’s a drink to you old man, I’ll love you til I die!

You take a bottle, Fill the glass, Drink it down and drink it fast
Slam it down, now up again, To my dear father
You take a bottle, Fill the glass, Drink it down and drink it fast
Slam it down, now up again, To my dear father
To my dear father.
Track Name: Count of Monte Cristo
Count of Monte Cristo
Sitting on a barstool when the lights come on
Thinking about what went down and how it all went wrong
Before they throw me out, I head down the boulevard
Weaving through the traffic speeding by
And I stare into the night and I raise a glass
To the Count of Monte Cristo

There’s a distance in your heart I can see it in your eyes
I brought my baby flowers and I waited ‘til the sunrise
And when you don’t return, well, it’s not just regret
There’s something burning in my blood, if you ain’t seen it yet
There are some who can’t forgive and some who can’t forget
Like the Count of Monte Cristo… Like the Count of Monte Cristo

Got my finger on the trigger as you’re a lyin’ next to me
And how you act so smug, I stare in disbelief
My stomach’s caving in and my head is full of doubt
And if anyone could tell you what this is all about
There’s this little voice keeps saying that this will all work out
It’s the Count of Monte Cristo… It’s the Count of Monte Cristo

If I make it down to Mexico, I can start a new
Cervezas in the sun senoritas by the pool
But I’m just biding my time, plotting my next move
Like the Count of Monte Cristo

The radio comes on and says the killer’s on the run
And I’ve got 2 bullets left, I only need just one
Surrounded in my car going west on 92
There’s a warrant that reads do what you need to do
There’s blood on my hands and I bring it back to you
The Count of Monte Cristo
Track Name: Road to Riches, Road to Ruin
Road to riches, road to ruin
Thinkin’ bout comin home tomorrow
I didn’t leave a day too soon
The hand that helps depress the throttle
Road to riches, road to ruin

Take a minute, do this for me
I don’t know what’s right or wrong
The peat is cracked, it’s getting brittle
And I can’t stand to wait this long
Track Name: Softly
Softly
Drove down to town today
I stopped by but you were away
So I talked to some friends for a while
This town, I thought I’d never leave
Close to heaven as I’ll ever be
But Hey babe, I’m right here
Sing it softly, she will come

Road block on the bridge ahead
Won’t forget the words you said
But turn around, I refuse
There were times you looked through me
Sad eyes saying “don’t you leave”
But Hey babe, I’m right here

Maria, Maria, Come braid my hair
Your sister is lying, I never slept there
I wonder how it all breaks down,
You say that you’re leavin, I know you’re in town
Maria, Maria, Don’t break my heart
The damage is done, there’s no need to start
I wonder how it all breaks down.
Sing it softly, she will come
Track Name: Back Home in Derry
Back Home in Derry
In 1803 I sailed out to sea, Bound from the sweet port of Derry
For Australia bound if I didn't all drown, And the marks of our fetters we carried.
In our rusty iron chains we cried out our veins, Our good wives we left in sorrow
As the mainsails unfurled, our curses we hurled, At the English, and thoughts of tomorrow
Oh, I wish I was back home in Derry.

I stepped out from the foil to bid Farwell to the soil And down below decks we were lying.
And I heard a scream and I woke from a dream, With a vision of old Ireland dying.
The sun burn was cruel and they dished out our gruel, O'Connor lay down with a fever
Eighty rebels today bound for Botany Bay, And how many would live there to see her?
Oh, I wish I was back home in Derry.

I cursed them to hell as our bow fought the swell. Our ship danced like a moth in the firelights.
White horses rode high and the devil passed by, Taking souls to Hades by twilight.
Five weeks out to sea , they turned now fifty-three, We buried our comrades each morning.
We’re lost in a time and we rolled in our slime, It was endless night without dawning.
Oh, I wish I was back home in Derry.

Well, Van Dieman's land is a hell for a man To live out your life there in slavery.
When the climate is raw and the gun speaks the law. Neither wind nor rain care for bravery.
Twenty years have gone by and I've ended me bond, My comrades ghosts walk beside me
As rebel I came and I'm dyin’ the same. On the cold shades of night, you can find me
Oh, I wish I was back home in Derry.
